Purdue women's basketball offseason tracker: Taylor Feldman commits
Coach Katie Gearlds and her staff picked up their first commitment from the transfer portal
The first commitment from the transfer portal arrived for the Boilermakers on Sunday.
Former Northern Arizona combo guard Taylor Feldman plans to join the program for the 2025-26 season. Feldman, who announced her decision on social media, visited Purdue at the end of March.
The addition gives the Boilermakers seven players on next year’s roster. The coaching staff is scheduled to host two more transfer portal targets next week after the dead recruiting period ends.
In addition to those two, former Arkansas guard KiKi Smith is scheduled to visit April 14-16. She averaged 10.2 points last season as a sophomore.
Feldman gives Gearlds the option of playing her at point guard and/or shooting guard, depending on how the rest of the roster takes shape.
The 5-foot-8 junior averaged 16.4 points and 3.9 assists last season, earning first-team All-Big Sky honors. She shot 36% from 3-point range last season and made 163 of 191 (85.3%) from the line. Feldman has played in 101 career games and has one year of eligibility remaining.

Feldman scored in double digits in 29 of 34 games and reached at least 20 points 11 times. She totaled a season-high 31 points at South Dakota in December.
Feldman led the Lumberjacks to a 71-69 victory at Arizona in the opening round of the WBIT, totaling 16 of her 22 points in the second half. She added five assists and three steals. She scored 15 points in an 81-80 loss to Belmont in the next round.
Feldman is from California and attended Crean Lutheran High School in Irvine. She finished with a school-record 2,401 points, including a single-game record 54.
The program saw five players (Amiyah and Mila Reynolds, Jordyn Poole, Sophie Swanson, and Jayla Smith) enter the transfer portal with eligibility remaining, and one freshman (Kira Reynolds) re-opened her recruitment. Smith wasn’t returning next season.
Swanson is transferring to Virginia Tech, and Poole is headed to Dayton.
Gearlds welcomes back Madison Layden-Zay, who didn’t play last season after scoring over 1,000 points during her four-year career.
