Prospects from the 2025 and 2026 classes set to arrive in West Lafayette
As of Friday morning, we have 499 subscribers. One more is needed for a milestone, assuming no one decides to push the unsubscribe button. I’ll be sad if it happens.
Back to the business at hand.
With college football season starting up, it also coincides with the beginning of recruiting official visits. And the Boilermakers will have visitors.
The program has two 2025 commitments - Brownsburg’s Avery Gordon and South Bend Washington’s Kira Reynolds.
Here’s where things stand:
Aug. 31 (Indiana State)
• Madison Parrish, a 2025 combo guard from Mason, Ohio. Parrish is ranked the No. 3 prospect in the state.
Sept. 14 (Notre Dame)
• All unofficial visits. Brooklyn Hall, a 2026 combo guard/wing from Hudson, Ohio (Western Reserve Academy). She’s ranked among the top 60 players in the nation, according to ESPN. Her older sister - Bree - is a senior at South Carolina.
• KK Holman, a 2026 point guard from Hamilton Southeastern. Marquette, Illinois, Butler, Bowling Green and Louisville are among the other schools on her radar.
• Brooklyn Renn, a 2026 forward/center from Silver Creek. She’s related to Trey Kaufman-Renn, a member of the men’s basketball program. Marquette and Maryland offered scholarships in July.
• Myah Epps, a 2026 combo guard from Homestead. Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, Cincinnati, Colorado and Clemson offered scholarships during the last month.
Sept. 28 (Nebraska)
• Avery Gordon, a 6-foot-6 center from Brownsburg, committed to Katie Gearlds last October and will be on an official visit. She played well throughout the summer and looks like a force inside once she arrives in West Lafayette. Gordon will also be on campus for the Sept. 14 football game against Notre Dame.
• Kira Reynolds, a 6-4 forward from South Bend Washington, also committed last October. Her older sisters - Mila and Amiyah - are on the current roster. She played on an undefeated AAU team this summer.
OVERSEAS TRIP: What (we think) we know, we don’t know
Oct. 26-28
• Keona Douwstra, a 5-9 combo guard from The Netherlands, has scheduled an official visit. In July, Purdue watched the 2025 prospect at the Basketball Without Borders Global camp in Phoenix around the WNBA All-Star game. Arkansas is also on her list. Ball State, Stephen F. Austin and Drexel offered scholarships this summer and Central Florida delivered an offer Thursday. Douwstra should be on campus when the Boilermakers play their exhibition game.
