WNIT: Purdue women's basketball hosts Vermont on Monday at Mackey Arena
Tipoff at 7 p.m. in the Great 8 round of the postseason tournament
The Boilermakers’ next opponent in the WNIT comes from the America East Conference.
Vermont knocked off Colgate in the Super 16 on Friday and will travel to West Lafayette for a Monday matchup at 7 p.m. Tickets go on sale Saturday at 1 p.m.
The winner advances to the semifinals to face either Saint Louis or Wisconsin.
Similar to Purdue, the Catamounts received a first-round bye. They defeated Niagara in their first WNIT game.
The Boilermakers and Vermont played one common opponent - Duquesne. Purdue defeated the Dukes by 21 points on Thursday, while the Catamounts won by 16 points in December.
Purdue holds a 1-0 series lead, winning during the 1985-86 season on a neutral floor.
